Presented by DMA Yachting, the breathtaking charter yacht PENNY JO is a 45 ft sailing catamaran. The most attractive features of PENNY JO are her impeccable styling and experienced crew. PENNY JO spends the season in the Caribbean. She was delivered by the ship builder Bali Catamarans in 2021. The spacious yacht layout features 3 large cabins and easily accommodates up to 6 guests.
PENNY JO is introduced primarily as a sailing catamaran. The the core layout is spread out from the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck features a variety of seating areas and that's where most of the meals are served. The tastefully decorated cabins are connected by stairs to the main saloon - roomy, comfortable and pleasant. The cabins are located in the 2 massive hulls. Multiple portholes provide a connection with the natural world outside.
The sailboat features 2 X 57HP Yanmar 9Kvw Onan Generator engines and a generator.

Meet Martin and Suzana.
They love their home country of Slovenia but have always had the wanderlust to explore beautiful places and experience new cultures.
Captain Martin
Captain Martin started his career on sailboats and later gained valuable experience on various yachts, sailing boats, and catamarans. For many years, he has been navigating the seas and oceans as a professional, licensed Captain. Guests return to charter again because of his positive and cheerful demeanor. Having a prior career in engineering provided Martin with the experience needed to manage and care for the yachts creating a stress-free and safe charter.
In addition to sailing, Martin enjoys freediving and swimming to connect with the marine world. In Martinโs words โEvery moment at sea is an opportunity for new experiences and challenges, which I embrace with open arms. I enjoy connecting with people who wish to experience the beauty of the sea and provide them with unforgettable moments through my experience. My passion and love of the sea are the main reasons why I look forward to every new day on board.โ
Chef/First Mate Suzana
Chef Suzana is a passionate sailor and gourmet enthusiast. Always with a smile on her face and tons of energy, she takes pride in preparing meals for guests with her personal flair. Her love for the sea and nature has been with her since childhood so she jumped at the chance to live on a sailboat with Martin.
Suzana learned to cook in her mother's kitchen and as a self-taught chef, enhanced her passion with additional culinary courses. She is always trying new recipes, as cooking is a way she expresses herself. Her precision and sense of design are evident in her culinary creations and other aspects of her life.
Traveling is her passion, but she finds exploring new cultures and flavors not only enriches her life but inspires new culinary endeavors. In addition to her culinary and sailing adventures, she worked for several years in the service industry, gaining valuable experience in hospitality and understanding the importance of excellent service. Guests appreciate her hospitality, precision, and cleanliness, which has been reflected in their positive guest reviews.
Martin and Suzana are always ready for new challenges and adventures, as they believe life is best lived fully and passionately.
In addition to their roles as Captain and Chef on charter yachts, they owned a beautiful Beneteau 345 sailboat for five years which they sailed extensively from Greece to Italy, Spain, the Canary Islands, and back to Spain via Italy, Croatia, Slovenia. They have also sailed and explored Australia, French Polynesia, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean Sea, the Adriatic Sea, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Aegean Sea. Exploring new places inspires them as a couple as they discover the true freedom and beauty of the sea.
They look forward to the opportunity to share their travels and nautical experiences with you and show you the beauty of the Exuma Cays.

The Penny Jo Sailing Charter was modern luxury. Spacious, and thoughtfully designed, with private bathrooms in every cabinโwhich, let me tell you, was priceless. No sharing, no waiting, just comfort.
And the food? Not basic cruise food. Everything was made from scratch, customized to our tastes, and absolutely delicious. Every meal felt special, prepared just the way we wanted.
Mornings with fresh coffee and a stunning sunrise? Perfect. WiFi to handle a few quick work things? Yes, but only until breakfast was ready when we wanted it.
Suzana and Captain Martine treated us like royalty, catering to our every need and making sure we were 100% satisfied. What made it even better was how genuine and effortless their hospitality wasโyou could tell they truly love what they do, and that energy made the trip even more special.
The excursions were exactly what we asked forโjust the right mix of adventure and relaxation. Some days, it was peaceful, just us and the endless blue water. Other days, we wanted a little action, and they made it happen.
It was the perfect way to unwind, reconnect, and actually slow down for once. Now that my family and friends have seen how incredible this was, theyโre already planning the next trip with me.
Honestly, I donโt think Iโll ever set foot on a commercial cruise again. If you ever get the chance, do this.

Some highlights of our trip included visiting Iguana Island to feed the iguanas, swimming with sharks, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, and marveling at a sunken plane resting on the ocean floor. Every moment was an adventure, and the crew's attention to detail made it even more special.
If you're looking for a luxurious, fun, and educational getaway, I couldn't recommend the Penny Jo more. This trip was truly a dream come true!

We had the privilege of sailing Penny Jo Sailing Charters with the most incredible staff and company. Martin and Suzana were an amazing crew and very professional with top notch hospitality. Martin, our captain was very knowledgeable and always put safety first, and Suzana's meals were absolutely delicious! Each day was better than the last, and the water was the most beautiful I have ever seen along with the islands and beaches. Penny Jo provides the best of both fun and relaxation...sunrises and sunsets from the bow to paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkeling, and more.
