ISLAND HOPPIN’ spends the season in the Caribbean. She was completed by recognized shipbuilder Lagoon in 2018. The well-planned yacht layout features 4 large cabins and comfortably accommodates a group of 8 guests.
ISLAND HOPPIN’ is introduced primarily as a sailing catamaran. The yacht layout radiates from the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck is generous, with a prominent dining and seating area and that's where most of the meals are served. The modern cabins offer designer mattrace beds and feature ensuite bathrooms. The cabins are located in the 2 massive hulls. Multiple portholes offer desirable views, while providing privacy if needed.

Dean was born in Johannesburg, South Africa where he developed a love for sailing at a young age. Growing up, his father owned a few sailing boats and got Dean really involved to the point where he took up sailing as sport throughout his schooling career competing in regattas all across South Africa. After he matriculated he completed his RYA Yachtmaster Ocean and started sailing around the Cayman Islands and BVI running catamarans and doing what he loves by giving his guests the experience of a lifetime. With this experience under his belt, he continued on by working on Super yachts ranging from 140-165ft and cruising the waters in the Pacific Northwest and Mediterranean. Dean looks forward to sharing his knowledge and experience with you and creating a trip that you will never forget.

Yana was born in Perm, Russia where she spent most of her childhood. After school, she graduated from medical university and worked for several years in medicine as a nurse. Her love for the oceans took over and she pursued a career in the super yachting industry in 2017. This journey took her to Singapore where she graduated from the London School of Business andFinance at the department of Hospitality and Tourism all while working as a Cheif Stewardess running trips out of Singapore, Papua New Guinea and Thailand. Yan spent 4 years in Asia where she travelled and built a passion for cooking as a hobby, experiencing all the different cuisines Asia had to offer. This passion got her her first position as a stewardess/chef on a yacht cruising Italy and Turkey and now Yana is happy to share her passion for food with you aboard your trip in the BVI.
Dean and Yana were brought together on the beautiful shores of Singapore. Yana had already been studying and working as a stewardess in Singapore for 4 years before Dean's journey brought him there for work as a Bosun and Dive Instructor on a world cruising 167ft Yacht. it was love at first sight and that is where they decided to go on a life journey with each other and make their dreams of sailing the oceans together come true.

Captain Jack and Kaycee were fantastic hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure every day was a great day! They were extremely flexible and gave us options each day. They both have a great sense of humor and put up with our cheesy jokes. Kaycee did a wonderful job making sure our food preferences were met and every meal was delicious. They were gracious, kind and so very accommodating. Best of all, they made us feel like family and we will forever remember our time with them.
In short, we had an outstanding time on an amazing boat with fantastic people!

They say things happen for a reason. And while we didn’t know it then, this delay turned out to be a true blessing! I honestly do not believe there is a better, more perfectly matched team to “handle” our group than Captain Jack and Kaycee. And I say “handle” because we can be a handful.
Jack and Kaycee were extremely personable and made us comfortable and relaxed from the very beginning of our journey. They both were knowledgable and professional, and it was evident from the start they wanted us to have an amazing vacation specifically tailored to our wants/desires. They had complete command of their responsibilities and ensured all safety procedures were followed - seamlessly taking great care of the catamaran and us. Their knowledge of the Virgin Islands helped us pick destinations that made our trip memorable.
Island Hoppin’ is a wonderful catamaran. It is well maintained and the decor and amenities made it feel functional, yet homey at the same time.
Now at the end of the trip, I truly feel as though we connected with Jack and Kaycee in a way I never would have expected. While our time here on the catamaran is done, I’m excited (and a bit jealous) for future guests who get to experience the Virgin Islands on Island Hoppin’ with Jack and Kaycee - they are in for the best trip of their lives.
In closing, I will say this vacation completely exceeded our expectations. We are already making plans to book our next trip!
