<p>Captain Max Craven’s love for the sea began early in life. Born and raised near the water in the United Kingdom, his passion for sailing grew alongside him, eventually leading him to earn his 200 GT Yachtmaster qualification.</p><p>Max initially pursued a career in banking, but the pull of the open water proved too strong. He left the corporate world behind to become a yacht charter captain, allowing him to build a life centered around the sea and the experiences he most enjoys sharing with others.</p><p>His career has taken him throughout the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Polynesia, where he has discovered hidden coves, quiet anchorages, and memorable local destinations. The British Virgin Islands, however, are more than simply a cruising ground to Max; they are home. His strong connection to the local community helps each charter feel like a warm and personal journey through his own backyard.</p><p>Growing up in a large, close-knit family, Max understands the value of creating a sense of belonging. <p>Chef Elise Lindbergh’s culinary journey began in her family kitchen, where she helped tend the garden and joined family and friends in preparing fresh pasta and meals together. At 14, she launched a baking business specializing in elaborate fondant cakes, marking the beginning of her professional culinary path.</p><p>While studying anthropology and philosophy at Bowdoin College in Maine, Elise continued exploring her love of food by selling homemade hummus, cooking weekly meals with friends, and working as a yacht chef in the Caribbean during summers and school breaks. After graduating, she received a scholarship to attend an eight-week culinary program taught by Swiss Master Chef Rolf Strub under the direction of Chef Antwon Brinson.</p><p>Her cuisine draws inspiration from extensive travels through India, Nepal, Europe, and Central America, with strong Asian, French, and Central American influences. Elise believes meals should be both social occasions and sensory experiences. Her dishes are colorful, flavorful, and prepared with fresh ingredients, often featuring homemade breads, pastries, sauces, and fermented goods.</p><p>Elise is equally comfortable at the helm and holds a 200 GT Master of Yachts Unlimited certification with celestial navigation. Guests are always welcome to ask her about the stars and constellations.</p>

<p>Chief Stewardess Delphine Hazledine has a natural gift for creating memorable guest experiences, whether serving one of Chef Elise’s meals, leading a calming yoga session, or offering thoughtful wellness guidance.</p><p>Born and raised near the North Sea in eastern England, Delphine began traveling at 18 and has since lived and worked in New Zealand, Fiji, Guatemala, Portugal, and Germany. Along the way, she developed a versatile background as a hostess, yoga teacher, ambient DJ, and wellness consultant.</p><p>With family roots in traditional wooden boat building, Delphine has always felt a strong connection to the ocean. At 21, she joined her father aboard a sailing yacht in Turkey for a week-long yoga retreat, an experience that inspired her to combine wellness and hospitality with life at sea.</p><p>Becoming a yacht stewardess allowed Delphine to bring those passions together. She enjoys meeting guests from around the world and creating charter experiences that feel personal, relaxing, and thoughtfully curated.</p><p>When she is not tending to guests, Delphine enjoys making creative cocktails, including her signature Espresso Delphini, swimming, learning to freedive, spending time in nature, and relaxing in a sauna. What a truly amazing trip!!
The Boat was beautiful and the crew was even better. We had so much fun and saw beautiful places everyday. Max planned a great Itinerary with snorkling and adventures. Every island was more breathtaking than the next.

My mind was blown on arrival by the scale of Ocean Vibes
Max, you packed our Itinerary with surprises, I had no idea what to expect and by the end of each day we’d packed in so much that I couldn’t remember how or where the day started. The color of the water, the beautiful bays, the white sand, turtles, Rays, Pipe fish, Barracuda, yachts, Islands…..
Elise the food was amazing, Thank you. Difficult to pick a favorite from so many fabulous dishes but OMG the Pulled pork and the pork loin I will dream about these flavors.

I never write recommendations, but 8-days cruising the BVI on S/V Ocean Vibes so exceeded my expectations, I have to relate my positive experiences. I’ve cruised the circuit in the BVI captaining my own bareboat charter but having a professional captain and crew dedicated to impeccable service and gourmet cuisine while taking care of all the details of running a yacht gives you time to experience the BVI from a different perspective. The fact that I perceived dining ashore to be a hardship tells a story in itself. The vessel is luxurious and maintained in perfect shape with interior and exterior areas for gathering or just getting away.
All in all, cruising on S/V Ocean Vibes is a luxury experience and will change the way you view this most beautiful island chain in the Caribbean. Highly Recommended!

Our recent cruise on Ocean Vibes exceeded all our expectations. The yacht itself is beautiful, with so many comfortable places to relax and enjoy the azure waters. While the accommodations were exceptional, the crew really made our trip!
Captain Max made sure we had new and interesting places to explore each day while our Stewardess, Sue, was a wealth of local knowledge. She also made sure we had whatever we needed, whenever we needed it.
Chef Elise is a master of her craft – from handmade focaccia and croissants to beautifully plated meals three times a day, we enjoyed her delicious cuisine. I’m not one to take pictures of food in restaurants but found I couldn’t help myself when her amazing dishes appeared in front of me.
We could not recommend this experience more highly. Cruising on Ocean Vibes was an exceptionally memorable trip.

In late March we spent 6 day’s onboard Ocean Vibes, a 70ft Sun reef catamaran. The experience was a once in a lifetime for us – the boat was amazing, luxurious and the crew (Captain Max, Crew Sue and Chef Elize) were fantastic, very accommodating and going the extra step to ensure our stay aboard was an experience you don’t forget.
Captain Max was very adept to finding the perfect anchorages and passages that considered current weather conditions. The running of the Vessel with these crew was seamless.
Chef Elize cooked up an amazing, mouth-watering array, of fine food for breakfast, lunch and dinner – including my favorite; home baked sour dough bread ..oh and the local BBQ’d Lobster – yum yum! She worked tirelessly in the galley and catered to all dietary requirements.
Crew member Sue made all kinds of “island time” cocktails – the Bloody Mary was to die for – she also put the perfect touch on everything with her attention to detail – like full water bottle in room each night before sleep. Decorating the table beautifully for every meal that elevated our dining experience to the next level.
Ocean Vibes has plenty of water toys aboard to enjoy while at anchor; and this all topped off with the breathtaking color of the water, sunsets and magic surrounds of the BVI made it the best 6 days we have spent in a very long time. We highly recommend indulging yourself in a luxurious escape aboard Ocean Vibes you will not regret it!

Spending a week on a luxury yacht in the British Virgin Islands was an unforgettable experience! This truly has been one of the best vacations! So many memories to take home and cherish. “Pinch me because I might be dreaming” has been a common phrase to this trip. Salty smiles, giggles over warm breeze, turtle spotted, deserted beaches found, dreams made, expectations exceeded over and over with all trimmings and then some. Thank you for the most incredible TRIP of A Lifetime! BVI did not disappoint! Heaven on earth!
There were 8 of us that chose Ocean Vibes as our magnificent vessel. We utilized every space on the boat and could not have been more pleased! The Crew! Elise, Max & Sue! They made this adventure absolutely perfect.
The food was off the chart delicious. Every morsel was prepared to perfection by Elise. She takes such pride in her presentation and preparation. Sue kept our rooms neat and fulfilled every request we had. She made us feel at home. Then there was our fearless Captain, Max! He navigated the boat to destinations we could have only imagined. The 3 of them worked so hard, yet, made it seem effortless! Our every need was met and we truly had a perfect vacation- Proper Classic! Well— with the exception of Bill not. Driving the dingy :) I guess we will be forced to return!
We are so blessed to have experienced such perfection! God is Good!

What an amazing adventure to celebrate some of our 60th birthdays and a wonderful friendship! We will never forget all of the fun we had with Captain Dan and Elise! The food was some of the best we've ever had and so delicious everyday! We truly enjoyed playing “Three” at night, snorkeling, sailing. What a magical week!! Hard to know where to even begin. The crew of the Valhalla created the perfect environment for my proposal to fiancé! Sergio picked out the prefect beach for us at sunset.
