Azimut is an Italian yacht builder, founded in 1969 by Paolo Vitelli. In 1985 it acquired the Benetti yard, and today the Azimut Benetti group builds motor boats from 9 to 110 metres.
This page counts down the 9 Azimut motor yachts below, from 68 to 118 feet, each of whose listings names the Caribbean among its cruising areas. The countdown runs from #9, the shortest, up to #1, the longest, ranked by the length on each yacht’s listing. Where two yachts share a length, the newer build ranks higher. Lengths and rates come from each yacht’s current listing. Every rate is the weekly charter fee shown on the listing, as a guide: holiday weeks can cost more, and we confirm the rate when we quote. The listings’ rate tables show an advance provisioning allowance (APA) of 35 percent of the fee on top, for fuel, food and marina fees, and what is unspent is returned after the charter. We confirm the exact APA when we quote. Several of these listings also name cruising areas outside the Caribbean and say a delivery or repositioning fee may apply, so where each yacht cruises during your week, and any such fee, depends on your dates, and we confirm both when we quote. For more Azimuts with rates, see our Azimut charter rate list.
Our guide to motor yacht charter in the BVI explains why the islands suit a motor yacht: around 60 islands sit close together in sheltered water, so the runs are short and the anchorages are calm. You can breakfast off Jost Van Dyke, snorkel the caves at Norman Island after lunch and still reach Virgin Gorda for dinner. Further south, our Antigua guide calls the island the yachting capital of the Eastern Caribbean, with English Harbour and Falmouth Harbour home to some of the biggest yachts in the region.
